tamron's got a deal
18-270mm F/3.5-6.3
Di II VC PZD
for Nikon, Canon18-270mm F/3.5-6.3
Di II PZD
for Sony
Di II : for APS-C DSLRs
The World's Lightest, Smallest 15x Zoom*, with Tamron's First PZD (Piezo Drive).
The acclaimed Tamron 18-270mm VC ultra zoom for APS-C format DSLRs has reached an astonishing new level of compactness, performance, and speed with the addition of PZD (Piezo Drive), an innovative ultrasonic autofocus motor based on an advanced piezoelectric design. The result is a lens that's considerably lighter, and noticeably shorter and slimmer (filter diameter: 62mm) than any previous lens in its class, and provides faster, quieter auto-focusing.
Signature features that have made this amazingly versatile lens the world standard in its class have been retained. They include a 28-419mm equivalent (15X) zoom range, an improved, lightweight, compact Vibration Compensation (VC) system, macro focusing to 0.49m (19.3 inches) throughout, and, of course, superlative imaging performance.

lens baby now comes in with a brand new kit !
Lensbaby manufactures a line of camera lenses that combine a simple lens with a bellows or ball and socket mechanism for use in special-effect photography, allowing modern cameras to obtain effects associated with view cameras.
The front standard can be manipulated off axis to move the sharpest area of focus (called the "sweet spot") to almost anywhere in the frame. Therefore the important part of the subject can be rendered fairly sharp with everything else out of focus, even if it is the same distance from the camera. Aperture is controlled by a series of interchangeable discs (basically a Waterhouse stop). The Lensbaby naturally focuses at approximately 2 feet; closer focus is achieved by pushing the front of the lens out, and infinity focus is achieved by pulling the front of the lens toward the base of the lens.
SOME AWESOME KITS ARE IN !

tips to take jewelry photos !
Do you wish to take the jewelry pictures with your dc !here's the trick !

Nikon 85mm f/3.5G AF-S DX ED VR Micro Nikkor Lens for Nikon Digital SLR Cameras
Nikon 105mm f/2.8G ED-IF AF-S VR Micro-Nikkor Lens
Nikon 200mm f/4.0D ED-IF AF Micro-Nikkor Lens for Nikon Digital SLR Cameras
Jewelry can be one of the most difficult subjects to shoot because you are shooting small subjects which are generally very reflective and hard to light. You may want to look for a book or a website on specific techniques on this type of shooting as many pros spend a lifetime perfecting the techniques, and there is more information than can be covered in a short article.
However, a Micro-Nikkor lens (or more generally a "macro" lens) is a special lens designed to take very sharp images at very close focus distances. Nikon offer several different options here:
Nikon 60mm f/2.8D AF Micro-Nikkor Lens for Nikon Digital SLR CamerasNikon 85mm f/3.5G AF-S DX ED VR Micro Nikkor Lens for Nikon Digital SLR Cameras
Nikon 105mm f/2.8G ED-IF AF-S VR Micro-Nikkor Lens
Nikon 200mm f/4.0D ED-IF AF Micro-Nikkor Lens for Nikon Digital SLR Cameras
Each of the Micro-Nikkor allows the same 1:1 reproduction size but the longer focal lengths (i.e.105mm) allow you to be farther away, making it easier to properly light the subject. Other tips:
1) Use a sturdy tripod to hold the camera still.
2) Use small apertures (i.e. f22) to increase depth-of-field (zone of sharp focus) so that the entire subject is in focus.
3) "Tent" style lighting where the lights are outside a sheer fabric "tent" of diffusion material can reduce shadows/ reflections. Shoot through a hole in the tent.
4) Reflector cards can also be used to control the light.
